Zaan Tours 

 Zaan Tours started in 2014 to offer guided tours in the Zaan region. The Zaan region, closely located to Amsterdam, has its own vibrant history. From controlling the flow of the Zaan river to ship building where even Russian tsar Peter the Great was interested in to come here and learn ship building. From more than a thousand big industrial windmills to a large food industry with companies such as Albert Heijn, Verkade, cacao factories and many more. We wanted, and still do, to show visitors of this region why we are so proud of where we are from.

We believe small-groups and live local guides are the best way to learn and experience an area. Our small-group tours are limited to 16 guests to ensure personal attention from our guides and a smooth running tour. However, we can also offer private tours for just 1 person, 2 persons or whatever size your private group is. For larger groups, we will have multiple guides to ensure the quality.

We  can show visitors not only world-famous Zaanse Schans with its windmills, but also Zaandam city center and outside of the region throughout the Netherlands. Tours to Volendam, "Venice of the North" Giethoorn, the cities of Rotterdam and the Hague, Kinderdijk and Keukenhof flower gardens are possible as well. We can also make itineries for multiple days and arrange accommodation and meals. Private and group tours can be fully customized, just ask us anything.
